Vigilante Officer Accidentally Sh00ts Himself While Trying To Stop R0bbers

Vigilante officer assigned to the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Estate, a housing development site under construction in the Karsana district of Abuja, accidentally shot himself while slinging his rifle.

The incident reportedly occurred around 9 p.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, shortly after the officer and his team pursued individuals who had attempted to break into the site to steal iron rods.

The officer, identified in some reports as Rabiu Usman, explained from his hospital bed in Kubwa General Hospital that he had forgotten to disengage the rifle’s safety while repositioning it, causing an accidental discharge that struck his leg.

He was later transferred to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital in Gwagwalada for further medical treatment. As of the time of reports, the local police command had not released an official statement regarding the incident.
