It appears that fairytale between Barcelona and Arturo Vidal seems to have come to an end. The Chilean has been told by the new manager, Ronald Koeman that he's not in his plan heading into the new season.

Koeman has been setting his plans ahead of the 2020-21 season as he hopes to turn the fortune of the club. 

Barcelona suffered a miserable 2019-20 season finishing without a trophy as the lost the La Liga title to Real Madrid and were humiliated by Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

According to Sky Sports, Vidal is set to complete return to Italy. He will link up with his former manager, Antiono Conte at Inter Milan.

Antonio Conte finished two points behind league winners Juventus and are boosting their squad depth with addition of Vidal.


Arturo Vidal has bid farewell to Barcelona fans through a post on his social media space.

"Today I say goodbye to everyone at Barcelona after spending two wonderful years at this great club," he wrote on Instagram.

"I feel very proud to have worn this shirt and to have played alongside great players and great people."

Just so you know, Vidal started his career with Colo-Colo, he won three Chilean Primera División titles before he move to Europe to join Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen. He played  four seasons with 15 league goals under 117 games.


He added: "I want to thank my family, my teammates, the coaches, the doctors, the staff and all the wonderful fans that always showed me a lot of affection.

"Today I am starting a new stage in my life, but they will always be in my heart.

"See you soon and, always, let's go Barcelona."


The 33 years old joined Juventus in 2011, winning four league titles with the Old Ladies.

In 2015, Vidal returned to the Bundesliga, joining Bayern Munich. The midfield talisman won three consecutive Bundesliga titles with Bayern Munich.

He caught the eyes of Barcelona and penned a deal with Barcelona in 2018.
