Nollywood Amanda Ebeye, has been off the spot lights for a while. It will be recalled that she jetted out of the country last year to deliver her baby.
The actress has also seized the opportunity to attend a film school and she would complete the course in 2018.
Many have argued that having a baby has slowed down Ebeye’s career growth, and others are also raising eyebrows that the father of her son is still unknown.
In this chat with Sunday Scoop, Amanda told the naysayers to mind their business.
In her words: “Firstly, I must say that having my son is the best decision I have ever made in life. I am so glad about it and I wake up thanking God every day for such a precious gift. I don’t let what people say get to me. I know what is good for me and I go for it. I know why I take certain decisions so there’s no reason to be bothered about what people who have never even met me feel,” she said.
On the report that she is not on speaking terms with her baby’s father, she said, “That’s not true. It’s only normal for people to have misunderstandings from time to time. What matters is how those issues are settled, and I think we are mature enough to handle our affairs.”
Shedding light on her sojourn in film school, Ebeye said, “It has always been a dream of mine to study filmmaking and now that I have the opportunity, I decided to do it. It is good to always learn and if you know the principles and guidelines of your job, you would be able to do it well. I am using this break to prepare myself and when I get back into the industry, you will all see a new and improved version of me.”
