Mauricio Pochettino has told Antonio Conte to focus on his own club after the Chelsea boss questioned Tottenham’s ambitions last week.
Conte was quoted as saying that Tottenham have the lowest expectations of any of the top six teams in the Premier League, despite the Lilywhites having been Chelsea’s closest Premier League challengers last season.
Spurs pushed Chelsea for the title last season before the west London side ended up claiming glory in Conte’s first campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge.
Both teams will be aiming to compete for the title and the Champions League crown next season as they prepare for the 2017-18 campaign.
However, Pochettino appears to have been less than impressed by Conte’s recent comments about Chelsea.
Pochettino is quoted as saying by BBC Sport: “I am not a manager who likes to speak about another club, another manager.
“I like to show respect. I expect the same from the people who compete with us.
“For different clubs who have spent a lot of money, the expectation and pressure is massive. For us it is the same. It is our own pressure and ambition.”
