Roc Nation star, Tiwa Savage, has refuted claims that she is the queen of African music.
Tiwa said this while receiving the award at an ongoing City people music award in Lagos.
Reports emerged on media a few days ago claiming that the music diva has finally acknowledged her mantle as the queen of music in Africa, a fact that has been backed by tons of seals and awards.
She reportedly took to social media to thank her stylist for making her pretty in her new video, ‘Informate’ and in the process declared herself, ‘QueenT’
Meanwhile, popular rap artiste, Ruggedman while recognising Tiwa’s presence at the event described her as the queen of African music.
But Tiwa Savage upon receiving her award as the Music artiste of the year, female category, corrected Ruggedman who earlier described her as the queen of African music saying, ‘I am not the queen the queen of African music.’
She said there are many queens in the industry that worth such recognition.’
Tiwa in retrospect also thanked City People for giving her the first award she ever received as an artiste.
