LMC Sanctions Wikki With 3 Closed Doors Ban And Fine

League Management Company has slammed a three-match closed doors ban and 2.250 million naira fine on Wikki Tourists for fans' violence against Enugu Rangers .

Despite the arrest of three alleged culprits over the Week 33 incident in Bauchi, the LMC announced its sanctions after thorough investigations.

Wikki's fine include compensation of the attacked match officials and bearing the cost of repairs for the damaged Flying Antelopes' bus.

In a statement, the LMC said: "Two of the three games would, however, be served should there be a recurrence of the incident before the end of the season. Furthermore, the club will also pay the full cost for the repair of the damaged Rangers bus.

"The club was charged for violations of Rules B13.18, B13.52, C11 and C1 covering breaches of field encroachment by supporters, failure to ensure adequate security, assault of match officials and conduct likely to bring the league to disrepute.

It continued: "For the encroachment of the Supporters on to the field of play and throwing of objects, Wikki were fined N1m and N750,000 for failure to ensure adequate security.

"Pursuant to rules C12, the club was also ordered to pay compensation of N250,000 to each of the match officials attacked and injured by the Supporters.

"The LMC noted however that Wikki Tourists management has fully cooperated with investigations leading to the apprehension and on-going prosecution by the Police, of some of the alleged culprits."
