Mohamed Salah completed his £34 million to the Reds from Roma in June and has already teased Liverpool fans with a number of impressive moments in pre-season action.
And one quality that immediately stands out is his speed.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp believes Salah’s pace will be key in the upcoming campaign.
"Even if people didn't know too much about him, they [must have] watched a few videos and they are impressive. He is a fantastic player, with speed," Klopp said, per Sky Sports.
“We said after last season there are a few things we would try to involve in an already really good squad. One of the things is speed, being kind of a finisher, preparing chances, making goals and all that stuff. He brings all this in.
"He is a naturally fit boy - he can run as quick and as long as he wants. I'm really looking forward to [working with him]."
When asked by journalist Keith Costigan who was quicker, him or Salah, Mane replied by admitting his new teammate is the faster player.
Mane reached a speed of 34.75km/h last season, enough to see him ranked 15th in a list of the Premier League’s fastest players.
