Nigerian alternative singer, Simisola Bolatito Ogunleye popularly known as Simi who just released her second career album which is self-titled “Simi”, has revealed she almost gave up writing her smash hit “joromi”.

In an interview, the “jamb question” crooner revealed that “joromi”, “was actually one of the last songs I recorded in the album, when the beat was produced I wrote about four songs but I was not feeling the vibe in fact I felt like dumping the beats, then, I think I was listening to Sir Victor Uwaifo’s “joromi” and I really liked the song, and I started playing around with the vibe then I eventually arrived at my own “joromi”.

The covenant University graduate of Mass Communication also explained why she featured only Adekunle Gold on her album, “it was not planned, I mean there was no big plan like lets feature Adekunle on this album; the only thing is that is just happened, you are like the six hundred person asking me this question. At a point, I felt like featuring someone else to avoid this question but later I felt why worry about it, if I am asked I will answer.
