Jurgen Klopp had revealed that he had to risk playing Gini Wijnaldum against West Ham.
The Dutch midfielder suffered a Swollen knee against Maribor in the mid week UEFA Champions League win.
But a thigh injury to Jordan Henderson saw the former Borussia Dortmund coach call upon Wijnaldum.
On Gini Wijnaldum replacing injured Henderson, Klopp said: "Wijnaldum came with us just so he could be close to the doctor. He had no boots with him!"
Goals from Matip, Oxlade-Chamberlain and brace from Mohamed Salah saw Reds thrash the Hammers.
Manuel Lanzini pulled one back but was not enough for West Ham who are struggling at the bottom of the table.
