Claudio Makalele had officially left Liberty stadium, the cub has confirmed.
Former Chelsea and Real Madrid player joined Paul Clement's coaching staff in January with the pair reuniting after they had worked alongside each other under Carol Ancelotti at Paris Saint-German.
Makelele played a part in the Swans' great escape from relegation last campaign, as Swans picked up 28 points from their remaining 19 games and finished 15th in the Premier League.
Makalele takes over an Eupen side which is currently bottom of Belgian's top flight, having won two of their opening 14 games.
This makes it a second coaching job for The 44 year-old, who had five-and-a-half month spell in charge of French club Bastia in 2014.
