Governor of Lagos State, Akinwunmi Ambode, was present at The formal launch of the Emblem Appeal Week to commemorate 2018 Armed Forces Remembrance Day celebrations.
The remembrance ceremony was held today.
According to the governor: "We must constantly remember that our unity has been achieved at the cost of lives which has seen some homes lose Fathers, Mothers, Brothers and Sisters.
" Let us always treat our ex-servicemen with respect and donate generously in the support of the Nigerian Legion. Let's also join hands with the government in improving the welfare of the family of our fallen heroes."
