The home based Super Eagles defeated Equatorial Guinea 3-1 in the final game of the group C.
Goals from Okpotu, Ojo and Rabiu Ali saw Salisu Yusuf side come back from conceding in the first half.
Nigeria topped the group with seven points to qualify for the knock out stage.
