While, at the Signal Iduna Park, Dortmund without Aubameyang were held to a goalless draw against Wolfsburg.
At the bottom, FC Koln continues to battle relegation despite 2-1 over Borussia Mönchengladbach.
Hamburg and Werder Bremen settled for a 1-1 draw and they occupy 16 and 17 positions.
