Pep Guardiola had given update on Fabian Delph injury.
The midfielder who has been deployed to full back was stretched off after 30 minutes in the 4-3 loss to Liverpool.
Manchester City unbeaten run of 22 games came to an end after Roberto Frimino, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mohamed Salah and Saido Mane registered four goals against City.
Guardiola side pulled three back from Leroy Sane, Bernardo Silva and Ilkay Gundogan.
"He will be out, I think, for a while," the former Barcelona boss told a post-match news conference.
"I don’t know if it will be a lot of time but he will be out for a while.
"It is his knee, he turned his knee."
