Francis Coquelin was unveiled as be a Valencia CF player today.
He signed a deal until June 30th 2022.
The French international has already told VCFplay about his desire to start his latest challenge.
He said: “I am very happy, it is a big challenge, it is the start of a new life for me, therefore I am very excited about it.”
The central midfielder spoke with Mustafi, Monreal, Hector Bellerin and Cazorla, some of his best friends at Arsenal, who gave him feedbacks about Valencia.
He said: “They all said that Valencia is a great city and a big club, so I am very happy to be here.”
He revealed that Since learning of Valencia CF’s interest in him, he has been keeping tabs with the club and watched Tuesday’s game versus UD Las Palmas on television.
“I have seen the team, they are going along very well, they are third in the table. I have watched their recent games, since I knew that the negotiations between the two clubs were picking up, such as the Copa del Rey game versus Las Palmas. They were very good. I believe that the players are doing a great job. Obviously, I am here to help the team and to help them hit their targets, ”he said.
Coquelin considers himself to be “a very passionate player, I always give everything, I hope that you will all see that soon, but I will always give my best,” he said.
