Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi is set for a spell on the sidelines with a thigh injury, according to statement from Juve.
Following the 7-0 thumping of Sassuolo at the weekend, The coach of Juventus Massimiliano Allegri says that he expected Matuidi to miss his side's Champions League tie with Tottenham.
Juve said Matuidi sustained "a mild-medium tear to the flexor muscles in his left thigh".
The club added: "The Bianconeri midfielder has already started therapy and further tests will be necessary to better ascertain the extent of his injury."
Juventus host Tottenham in the first leg of their Champions League last 16 tie on February 13, with the return match on March 7.
Juventus has also confirmed that Tomas Rincón had joined Torino on permanent deal.
