Neymar and Marquinhos set to miss Real Madrid UCL clash

PSG's Neymar Jr and Marquinhos both picked up injuries in Sunday's Classique win over Marseille.

The Paris Saint-Germain duo are in doubt for next Tuesday's crunch UEFA Champions League return leg round of 16 clash at home to Real Madrid.

Late on Monday, Paris Saint-Germain published a medical report on their official website declaring that Neymar Jr, stretchered off in the Classique win over OM, is suffering from a twisted ankle and a hairline fracture to his fifth metatarsal.

The statement did not indicate how long the club expects the Brazil star to be out of action.

There are speculation that he may well not be fit to face Real Madrid as Paris look to overcome a 3-1 aggregate deficit in their decisive round of 16 return leg clash on Tuesday, March 6.

The report also noted that Neymar's compatriot Marquinhos is suffering from a grade 1 (the least severe grade) lesion in his left thigh, leaving him in doubt for the Real clash as well as Wednesday night's Classique re-boot in the Coupe de France quarter-finals.
