Former Chelsea player, Andre Schurrle will undergo a medical with Fulham on Wednesday ahead of a possible return to London.
Schurrie is set to return to the Premier League, three years after quitting Stamford Bridge to join Wolfsburg.
Sky Sports reports that Fulham were in a transfer battle to land Schurrle, who was also wanted by Crystal Palace and AC Milan.
The German player has been allowed to leave Borrussia Dortmund’s pre-season camp in the United States to hold talks with Fulham and is now on the verge of signing for the newly promoted Premier League side.
The 27-year-old joined Dortmund from Wolfsburg in 2016, but is surplus to requirements at the club since the arrival of new boss, Lucien Favre.
Schurrle opted to join Fulham ahead of other clubs after watching Slavisa Jokanovic guide the Cottagers to promotion last season with eye-catching football.
