Arsenal Chairman Gazidis eyes Move to AC Milan

ARSENAL's chief executive is weighing up a move to AC Milan after the Serie A side presented him with an irresistible offer.

The Italian giants are offering Ivan Gazidis a £1m pay-rise to his already impressive salary and the opportunity to overhaul the club.

Gazidis was instrumental in bringing Unai Emery on board and already pockets £2.6m a year for overseeing the north London club.

But after nine years in the job, he is agonising over the offer from Milan.

According to the Telegraph, Arsenal believe Gazidis will make the move although he personally has yet to make a firm decision.

But the Serie A side won't hang around forever and want an answer by the start of September.

The move would see Gazidis swapping one sixth place club for another, as both sides finished outside of Champions League spots last season.

But Milan are offering a bigger war chest than Arsenal in order to compete with the big spenders in the league.

The Italian side also have new American owners, Elliott Management, who are believed to be prepared to allow the new chief exec to overhaul the club however they see fit.

Gazidis, 53, has been in the job since 2009 but the biggest change in his time at Arsenal was overseeing the baton changeover between Arsene Wenger and Unai Emery this summer.
