Joe Hart is reported to be undergoing a medical at Burnley this evening. The Manchester City goalkeeper will sign a three year contract and take a substantial pay cut to join the club, as he searches for first team football and a chance to restablish himself as a top goalkeeper after a very tough couple of seasons.
City will received a fee of around £4m for their out of favour goalkeeper, whom Guardiola has never been sold on.
During Guardiola's first season at City, Hart was loaned out to Torino but struggled to get into a run of form despite his best efforts to embrace a different league.
He then spent last season at West Ham but was not convincing enough for the London club to sign him on a permanent transfer.
Burnley already have two English goalkeepers, Tom Heaton and Nick Pope, although both are struggling for fitness right now, so Hart could see himself chucked straight into the starting XI for their opening day fixture against Southampton.
Burnley started with former Manchester United goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard in goal last night, as they beat Aberdeen 3-1 in the second leg of their Europa League qualifier.
