Andreas Pereira's form at Man Utd appears to have paid off with his first international call up for the Brazil senior team.

Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira has earned his first call-up to the Brazil national team.

Pereira has been named in his country's squad for their upcoming international friendlies versus the United States of America and El Salvador.

The Belgian-born youngster is set to commit his international future to his father's home nation having played for both Belgium and Brazil at youth level.

Pereira has been rewarded for his recent run of form after an impressive pre-season for Jose Mourinho's side during their tour of America.

Pereira capped a fine pre-season when he netted a beautiful free-kick during the defeat to Liverpool in Ann Arbor, and started United's opening day victory against Leicester in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old impressed on his league debut last week having proved his quality to Mourinho during successful loan spells at Granada and Valencia.

Pereira could be set to earn him his first international cap as Brazil manager Tite looks to rejuvenate his squad following a disappointing World Cup in Russia.

United teammate Fred is also included in the squad and was a member of the squad which went to the World Cup in Russia, although he did not play a single minute of football.

Interestingly no Man City players have been named in Tite's 24-man squad, with Gabriel Jesus, Fernandinho, Danilo and Ederson all absent.

Brazil face the USA on 8 September before facing El Salvador on 12 September.
