Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho will be sat among scouts watching Burnley face Olympiacos on Thursday night.
Mourinho has booked a spot at the Europa League qualifier ahead of United’s crunch trip to Turf Moor this weekend.
The Portuguese decided against taking up residence in the directors’ box, as would be deemed normal practice, in the hope of not drawing attention to himself.
Mourinho’s position at Old Trafford is under intense scrutiny following two consecutive defeats and internal issues surrounding the club’s transfer business over the summer.
Three of the 55-year-old’s backroom team are set to join the boss as they get a gauge of Burnley before Sunday’s Premier League game.
Mourinho had been seen wearing a hoodie and positioned away from dignitaries at low-key fixtures earlier in the year, most notably when United’s Under 23 faced Manchester City in April.
Scouts at Turf Moor are usually seated behind the directors’ box in the Bob Lord Stand and Mourinho would rather avoid the glare of BT Sport’s cameras.
