Crystal Palace are keen on brining back Chelsea star Ruben Loftus-Cheek back to Selhurst Park this summer and according to the official Premier League website they might just well have got their way.

The 22-year-old spent last season on loan with the Eagles had impressed many, including England head coach Gareth Southgate who included him in his squad for the World Cup in Russia this summer.

He featured in four of England's matches as they reached the semi-final of the competition and now he is back at Cobham fighting for his place in the Chelsea first team under new head coach Maurizio Sarri.

Loftus-Cheek was back in training last week and came on as a late substitute against Arsenal in Dublin, however he was left out of the squad for the Community Shield defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.

Palace fans believe they have a good chance of getting the England international back this season, and on the Premier League's official website below they have already got Loftus-Cheek's stats ready to go as if he is an Eagles player.

Loftus-Cheek isn't the only player linked between the clubs, with the Blues reportedly leading the race to sign Wilfried Zaha before the transfer window closes on Thursday, with Spurs now no longer interested in the Ivory Coast international.

The 25-year-old could cost more than £60m if Chelsea are interested in him, while Loftus-Cheek could be part of the deal should the Blues really go after the Ivory Coast international.
