Sevilla have signed AS Roma’s defensive midfielder Maxime Gonalons on a season-long loan.
The 29-year-old is the La Liga club’s eighth signing this summer and is touted to be a replacement for Steven N’Zonzi who moved in the opposite direction.
Gonalons made 16 appearances for Roma last season.
The club can confirm that midfielder Maxime Gonalons has joined Sevilla on a season-long loan deal,” Roma said in a statement.

The agreement will not include an option to make the deal permanent but completes Pablo Machin’s squad in midfield.
Machin, who joined from Girona this summer, still wants to add a defender and a striker to his squad.
