President of the Tanzania Football Federation Wallace Karia has explained that Emmanuel Amuneke experience made him get the job as coach of the country’s national team.
Amuneke was on Monday appointed as the Taifa Stars head coach on a two-year deal and will be assisted by local trainers for each category.
“Amuneke will be with us for two years, but the contract is renewable if he meets the set targets,” Karia said during Amuneke’s unveiling.
“We had so many applications for the Taifa Stars job but after looking at all factors Amuneke emerged as the best candidate for the job.
“He has established himself and he has been successful both as a player and coach”
“We will give him all the support he needs to ensure he accomplishes his mission and our focus lies on the 2019 AFCON.”
