Former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has blasted the Blues after making his debut for Real Madrid in the 4-1win against Leganes on Saturday at the Bernabeu.
Courtois secured his move to Real Madrid this summer after refusing to commit his future to the Premier League club.
Chelsea offered the Belgian an improved contract in a bid for him to remain with the club but Courtois has already made up his mind to move to Madrid where his family resides.
The Stamford Bridge outfit signed Kepa Arizabalaga for £71m from Athletic Bilbao for a record fee for a goalkeeper.
‘In training, you see that the level at Real Madrid is high,’ said Courtois. ‘I am now experiencing on a daily basis that Ramos is the best centre-back in the world. The level at Real Madrid is higher than at Chelsea.’
With his departure, Chelsea has won their last four Premier League game and maintain a perfect start to the season.
