Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui has revealed his plan for Marcelo, according to reports in Marca.
The Brazilian left back was not called for the international friendly for Brazil and Lopetegui is ready to help the defender get back to his very best.
Marcelo made some costly errors in the UEFA Super Cup defeat against Atletico Madrid and he also struggled to give his best against Girona and he was a surprise substitute in the match.
He suffered an injury in the World Cup, coupled with the fact that he had no proper pre-season and he is far from being fit as the squad teammates.
Lopetegui is firmly behind the Real Madrid left-full back, "I was pleased with the fantastic week of training he had after that substitution," he told Onda Cero radio.
Marcelo has two weeks to get back to full fitness ahead of the trip to San Mames to face Athletic Bilbao on the 15th of September.
