The Red Devils' team bus was caught in heavy traffic en route to Old Trafford for the Champions League.
Jose Mourinho abandoned Manchester United's team bus en route to Old Trafford on Tuesday, after it was caught in heavy traffic.
The Red Devils boss was fearing being hit by another fine after United were charged by UEFA for arriving late to Old Trafford ahead of their last group game against Valencia.
That match was subsequently pushed back to accommodate the Manchester United team, who switched hotels ahead of Tuesday night's match with Juventus.
Instead of staying at The Lowry, the Red Devils squad stayed at The Hilton Garden Inn, which is just 800 yards away for Old Trafford.
But they still managed to arrive late to the stadium on account of the traffic.
Mourinho abandoned the team bus and decided to walk the half a mile to Old Trafford alongside his backroom staff, in order to show his face and explain the situation.
Upon arriving to Old Trafford, Mourinho told BT Sport: "We changed hotels, to just across the road but the boys are in the bus for 45 minutes.
