Coman ruptured the syndesmosis ligament in his left ankle on the opening day of the season against Hoffenheim - a game that was his first since injuring the same ankle in February.
It ruled him out of France's World Cup winning campaign this summer and in an emotional interview, the 22-year-old opened up about these serious injuries.
"It was a very difficult year. When I hurt myself, it was the end of the world for me." Coman told TF1 .
"I hope I don't have to relive what I've been through. Enough is enough. I will not accept a third operation - it will mean maybe my foot is not made for this level.
"I will then lead another life, an anonymous life."
For now though, Coman has already made an instant impact on his return to the Bayern set-up, producing two entertaining displays against Werden Bremen and Nurnberg.
Bayern manager Niko Kavac was certainly complimentary about his impact. Let's hope he can stay on track and avoid any serious injuries.
"It's nice that he has come back after a little more than three months and a serious injury," Kovac said before the Nurnberg win.
"He was not intended [to play against] Bremen, at least not for 55 or 60 minutes but rather to get 10 or 15. It came as it came and he has done very well."
Coman's career may be short but his spells at Juventus, PSG and Bayern have been incredibly successful.
He has played at least a small part in six league title wins in a row. PSG's Ligue 1 wins in 2013 and 2014, Juventus' Serie A win in 2015 and the German title wins in 2016, 17 and 18.
