Italian manager Maurizio Sarri has finally beaten Pep Guardiola after his Chelsea side triumphed 2-0 over Manchester City, thanks to goals from N’Golo Kante and David Luiz.

The visitors were the better side in the opening half hour, without being able to penetrate a solid Blues back line. Failure to get ahead on the score board came back to haunt them before the break when Kante broke the deadlock right on half time with a lovely goal. Eden Hazard had provided the assist and did so again for David Luiz’s header on 78 minutes.

In the post match conference here is what Guardiola has to say after losing his first Premier League game for over 8 months.

“They made a movement down our left side and we could not control it. We played better than other days when we have won. “The way we played in the first half was incredible. They had minimum chances and scored and in the second half we were there until the end.

“It is emotional for me to see these players do what they do every three days. It is the level that it is. We were outstanding except for five-eight minutes. “We try to be champion. Everyone wants to beat us. Now it is recovery for the Champions League. “We still have a lot of points to gain and a lot of games to play. We have to be consistent and today we were so I have no problems with that.”
