Chelsea took the lead in the 18th minute through Pedro following good work from Hazard to find the Spaniard who tapped in from close range.
The visitors doubled their advantage at the Amex Stadium through a wonderful solo effort by Hazard.
Brighton pulled one back in the 66th minute with Solly March’s first goal of the season.
