Alicia Keys has been announced as the host of the 2019 Annual Grammy Awards, which are set to air live on CBS February 10th at 8 p.m. ET.
The Recording Academy and CBS announced on Tuesday morning that the 15-time Grammy winner will host the 61st annual show.
“I know what it feels like to be on that stage, and I’m going to bring that vibe and energy,” Keys said of the gig. “I’m so excited to be the master of ceremonies on the biggest night in music and celebrate the creativity, power and, magic. I’m especially excited for all the incredible women nominated this year! It’s going ‘UP’ on February 10!”
Keys, who has sold 30 million records throughout her celebrated career, follows late-night host James Corden, who hosted the show the previous two years, and LL Cool J, who had hosted for the five years before that.
The 2019 ceremony is due to take place on 10 February, 2019 at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.
