Alvaro Morata trains with new Atletico Madrid team-mates for the first time as on-loan Chelsea striker prepares for debut against Real Betis

Alvaro Morata has started life at Atletico Madrid with a training session alongside his new team-mates as he prepares to make his debut on Sunday.

The 26-year-old was officially unveiled as an Atletico player on Tuesday and was immediately put to work on the training pitch by Diego Simeone.

Morata, who endured a difficult period at Chelsea after joining from Real Madrid in 2017, is expected to play against Real Betis in La Liga this weekend as he looks to find some form.
Simeone's side are currently enjoying a few days off from action after they were knocked out of the Copa del Rey in the last-16 by Girona.

Atletico are currently five points behind league leaders Barcelona at the summit of La Liga but face a tricky trip to Estadio Benito Villamarin.
