Thomas Tuchel has agreed Christopher Nkunku’s loan move to Arsenal on the condition that Paris Saint-Germain sign two new midfielders before the end of the window.
Reports emerged on Thursday revealing that Arsenal were deep in talks to sign the 21-year-old, who played under Unai Emery for two seasons during the Spaniard’s time in charge at the French capital.
Nkunku has struggled for game time under successor Tuchel, however, with the German coach questioning his attitude and starting him just five times in Ligue 1.
And now L’Equipe report that Tuchel has greenlit a deal for Nkunku to move to north London on a six-month loan, with the Gunners able to buy him permanently for €20million (£17m).
However, the deal will have to wait until PSG have reinforced their midfield, with Tuchel already short on options after banishing Adrien Rabiot to the reserves while Marco Verratti picked up a knock against Guingamp.
