Lionel Messi is a potential injury doubt for Barcelona's Copa del Rey semi-final Clasico clash against Real Madrid after picking up a thigh injury in Saturday's 2-2 LaLiga draw vs Valencia.
Messi dragged Barcelona back from two goals down by scoring twice to snatch a 2-2 draw at home to Valencia - a result which interrupted the Liga leaders' streak of eight consecutive league wins.
Despite his game-saving performance, Messi needed treatment on the sidlines after picking up a thigh problem in the second half.
Messi returned to complete the rest of the game, but Barca coach Ernesto Valverde said afterwards: "I don’t know exactly what he has.
"We will have to wait to see what medical staff say.
"If he’s in good shape, he’ll play on Wednesday (against Real Madrid)."
However, with the first leg of Barca's Copa del Rey semi-final against Clasico rivals Real Madrid just four days away, the Argentine is now a doubt - and may be rested with plenty of big matches ahead in February.

Barca needed Messi's brilliance to rescue a point from a tough game against Valencia.
The visitors, who hit the woodwork in the second minute, went ahead 22 minutes later with a well-taken finish from French forward Kevin Gameiro and doubled their lead with a powerful penalty from Dani Parejo just 10 minutes afterawards.
Messi halved the deficit seven minutes later by scoring for the ninth consecutive game in all competitions, converting from the penalty spot after having a goal chalked off as the referee had already blown his whistle to award the penalty.
Barca's captain equalised in the 64th with an unstoppable curling strike from outside the area, averting a first league loss for the league leaders since November and taking them on to 50 points from 22 games.
Valverde's side are six points ahead of nearest challengers Atletico Madrid, who visit Real Betis on Sunday, and 11 clear of third-placed Real Madrid, who host Alaves on Sunday.
