Shurrle warns Fulham: "I will leave If The Club Relegates"

Schurrle joined the Cottagers on a two-year loan from Borussia Dortmund last summer.

Andre Schurrle has warned Fulham he will not be playing Championship football next season

But despite the winger's six goals so far, Claudio Ranieri's men are 19th and seven points adrift of safety.

They face Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City in their next four home games.

World Cup winner Schurrle has now revealed he will return to Dortmund if Fulham are relegated in May.

But the 28-year-old also vowed to do all he can to repay the fans in West London for the support they have given him.

Schurrle told German magazine Kicker: "Looking at my abilities and previous career, it is not my ambition to be fighting against relegation in England.

"My loan spell would come to an end if Fulham go down, and my Dortmund contract would become active once more.

"This is an important year for me, to rediscover my form and see in which direction my career goes.

"The anonymous nature of London does me good. I know that people have far, far more important things than football on their minds.

"But Fulham's fans have inspired me to perform and score goals. I hope to help them further.

"I don't regret joining them. I would make the same decision again."

Recall that Schurrle helped Chelsea win the 2014-15 Premier League title following an £18million move from Bayer Leverkusen.

He joined Wolfsburg midway through that season and moved on to Dortmund in 2016.
