Chelsea star Eden Hazard has revealed the players that are better than him in world football. The Belgian has been Chelsea’s standout performer this season with 16 goals and 11 assists this season.

Hazard admits he has been impressed by Salah’s impact at Liverpool and has suggested he needs to do more to match his former teammate. ‘I like [Luka] Modric,’ he told NBC Sports when asked about the players he looks up to.

‘He’s more of a midfielder than me but, of course, I like Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Salah, meanwhile, finished as the Premier League’s top scorer last season and has netted 20 goals in all competitions this term.

‘Mo Salah is one of my good friends and he’s doing something incredible. I try to look at this player and this player and try to reach that level.’

Roman Abramovich is resigned to losing Eden Hazard this summer with the Chelsea superstar closing in on a move to Real Madrid, according to reports. Belgium international Hazard has won two Premier League titles, the Europa League and the FA Cup since joining Chelsea from Lille in 2012.

The 28-year-old has developed into one of the best players in Europe during his spell at Stamford Bridge and Real are determined to secure his services at the end of the season. The Spanish giants have held interest in Hazard for a number of years and returning manager Zinedine Zidane is a huge admirer of the Belgian.

On Monday, it was reported that Chelsea had rejected an opening offer from Real Madrid to sign Hazard. But according to Spanish outlet AS, the Premier League club are preparing for Hazard’s departure, knowing they will be unable to resist Real’s approaches at the end of the season.
