Chelsea stars on Friday trained ahead of their west London derby clash with Fulham.
Recall that Spanish goalkeeper, who was signed for £72million from Athletic Bilbao last summer, was dropped by Sarri for Willy Caballero on Wednesday night against Tottenham.
Although Willy Caballero went on to keep clean sheet against Spurs, with Pedro and Trippier own goal gave Sarri’s men win.
The stopper was fined a weeks' wages, but he refused to reveal whether he would to the starting lineup at the Cottage.
'As I said after the match, the Kepa situation is closed,' Sarri said.
Manager Maurizio Sarri has though insisted the matter is closed and wants to move forward
'Kepa is our first goalkeeper. But we are very happy for Willy, because now we know very well he's able to play also in a very difficult match.
'I'm sure in one of the two next matches Kepa will be on the pitch.'
Asked if he had made a decision on whether Kepa would return to the starting XI, Sarri added: 'Not at the moment, no. I want to see the last two training (sessions).'
Chelsea boss expressed his sorrow at Ranieri's departure, but added that he expects to see a reaction from Fulham under caretaker boss Scott Parker.
Recall that during the week, Ranieri was sacked as manager of Fulham following unchanged results as the club lie in relegation water.
'I'm really very sorry,' Sarri said. 'I know very well his character, so I know very well that we will see him very soon on another bench. It was really a very difficult situation from the beginning.
'Usually, when there is a change of coach, there is a reaction. So we have to front the reaction.
'Then it's difficult for us to prepare the match to know their new systems and ideas.'
