Mario Balotelli rubbishes rumours he wore Marcus Rashford shirt to mock PSG

Mario Balotelli has rubbished rumours that he was planning to unveil a Marcus Rashford shirt if he scored for Marseille against PSG at the Parc des Princes.

Rashford converted a decisive late penalty for Manchester United to eliminate PSG from the Champions League earlier this month and reports in France claimed Balotelli wanted to poke fun at Thomas Tuchel’s side on Sunday night.

Canal+ suggested that Balotelli had got Rashford’s face printed on a T-shirt which he wore underneath his Marseille jersey in case he had the chance to celebrate.

However, Valere Germain scored Marseille’s only goal in the French capital and the shirt never saw the light of day – Balotelli, though, has now come out insisting that it never even existed in the first place.

‘This is a LIE! Bulls***’ the former Manchester City and Liverpool striker told his followers on Instagram.

The Italian added: ‘Stop creating fake stories over me.’

Goals from Kylian Mbappe and Angel di Maria (2) sealed a comfortable win for PSG as Tuchel’s side extended their lead over Lille at the top of the Ligue 1 table to 20 points.
