Arsenal playmaker Mesut Ozil is in good spirits ahead of Saturday’s north London derby against Tottenham and appears eager to retain his starting spot at Wembley.
The German World Cup winner made just his second Premier League start of 2019 in midweek against Bournemouth and put in a stellar performance, opening the scoring before setting up Arsenal’s second goal.
Ozil has been plagued by injury problems recently, suffering back and knee troubles, while there have been suggestions that manager Unai Enery does not trust him in big games.
‘North London Derby incoming,’ he posted on Twitter on Friday afternoon after the final training session before facing Spurs. ‘Let’s keep the faith!’
