Son's name is now immortalised in Spurs history after his moment in the sun, and he joins a surprising list of names to have broken the deadlock at a new ground.

His is the first goal at a new Premier League ground since Aaron Mooy netted Huddersfield's first at the John Smith's Stadium against Newcastle in August 2017.


They had to wait until the 55th moment, but it was worth the wait, as Son Heung-min's low shot bobbled into the back of the net via a deflection.


The roof came off the new 62,000-seater stadium after the South Korean scored the first Premier League at the new ground


Tottenham defeated London rival Crystal Palace 2-0.
