Manchester United midfielder Ander Herrera has reportedly agreed a deal to join Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer when his contract expires this summe.

Herrera , 29, is set to end his five-year stay at Old Trafford when the transfer window opens after failing to agree a new deal with the Premier League club.

The Spaniard, who joined United from Athletic Bilbao in 2014, has been heavily linked with a move to PSG and reports suggest that he has reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 side.

According to AS , Herrera has a verbal agreement in place with the French giants and will pen a four-year contract at the Parc des Princes.

Despite reports of a potential return to former club Bilbao, the Spanish publication claims that the wages being offered by Thomas Tuchel's team and the chance to play Champions League football have caused the Spaniard to choose a move to France.

It is also reported that Herrera's arrival will pave the way for France midfielder Adrien Rabiot to leave the club, with Liverpool , Real Madrid and Barcelona among those linked with the 24-year-old.

Herrera has made 20 appearances for the Red Devils in the Premier League this season but hasn't featured since suffering a thigh injury against Watford on March 30.
