Ex-Man United striker Michael Owen believes Arsenal will drop points at Everton on Sunday afternoon.
The Gunners will make the trip to Merseyside looking to secure a third successive Premier League victory to move ahead of third-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
Unai Emery’s side are in fourth place and a point behind their bitter north London rivals, having played one game less than Spurs, Chelsea FC and Manchester United.
Arsenal are in the in-form team in the top-four race following a return of 16 points from their last six Premier League outings.
Only Tottenham have managed to take points off Unai Emery’s side in a 1-1 draw at Wembley since Arsenal’s last defeat at the hands of Manchester City at the start of February.
While Arsenal have an impressive record at home, they’ve only managed to win five of their 14 fixtures on the road in the current campaign.
Everton were 2-0 winners against their top-four rivals Chelsea FC at Goodison Park before the most recent international break.
And former Manchester United striker Owen is backing Everton to hold Arsenal to a stalemate on Sunday afternoon.
“The Gunners have hit top form at the right time and after looking likely to miss out on a top four place have taken 16 points from a possible 18 during a great six game unbeaten run,” Owen told BetVictor.
“They now travel north to Merseyside where hosts Everton are also suddenly finding some late season form and hoping to finish in the top ten.
“Successive wins over London clubs Chelsea and West Ham see the Toffees looking for a capital hat trick and there certainly could be a surprise I feel.
“With London rivals Spurs and Chelsea both successful on Wednesday there is now just a solitary point between the trio but I will be surprised if the visitors can come away with all three points on this occasion.”
