Arsenal beat Watford 1-0 on Monday night in the Premier League.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored the only goal of the game as Arsenal finally recorded their first away clean sheet of the season.

Watford had Troy Deeney sent off the first half.

The Hornets captain received a straight red card for an elbow against Lucas Torreira.

The Watford striker complained to referee Craig Pawson about the call. He argued against the red card, saying “what is that for?”

Deeney also exchanged words with Unai Emery as he exited the pitch.

After the game, the Arsenal manager was asked to reveal what Deeney said. Emery told the media:

He said to me something. I can’t say to him… I don’t know. It’s not important [what he said].

I didn’t listen to him really. I only answered to him, ‘I don’t know’.
