Rafinha shed a tear as he announced he will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season, bringing to an end his eight-year association with the German giants.
The 33-year-old, who sealed a £5million move to the Bavarians back in June 2011, will become a free agent this summer as his Bayern Munich contract comes to an end.
Rafinha will join fellow long-time servants Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery in moving on to pastures new as Bayern Munich plan to reshuffle their first-team squad.
Rafinha was extremely emotional as he hosted a press conference to confirm his exit
Bayern Munich held a press conference on Tuesday to confirm Rafinha would not be extending his stay.
Rafinha said:
'The eight years have been wonderful, I've had some great moments here. The treble in 2013 was special. All things come to an end eventually.
'We are together every day and know each other so well – we are a family. The friendship we all have is the greatest thing.'
Rafinha, who has won six Bundesliga titles during his time at Bayern Munich and could add another to his trophy cabinet, previously hit out at manager Niko Kovac over his lack of playing time.
He said back in February: 'I do my work and train well, but the coach does not count on me.
'I do not know why. I have not made any problems. But of course I am disappointed.'
Rafinha has the opportunity to win two more trophies with the club as Bayern will win the title if they avoid defeat against Eintracht Frankfurt on Saturday and will face RB Leipzig in the German Cup final.
Wingers Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery will both also depart the club this summer
