Newcastle 2-3 Liverpool: Origi was the hero as Liverpool lose Salah to injury

Liverpool have defeated Newcastle 3-2 at the St. James Park on Saturday evening.

The Reds took the lead from header by Virgil van Dijk after 13 minutes of play. Rafa Benitez side levelled the score line as  Atsu plants the ball home for Newcastle after a scramble in the box. Manquillo is afforded spaced and time down the right flank and he digs out a threatening cross. 

Ritchie connects, but scuffs his drive at goal. Rondon is the next to shoot, only to be denied by Alexander-Arnold on the line - perhaps with an arm.

The referee waves play on and Atsu takes on the next strike, firing his effort into the back of the net. 

Mohamed Salah who was streched off due to injury curled a strike to put Jurgen Klopp side back in the lead .

But the Magpies refused to go down easily as Solomon Rondon got the second.

Divock Origi who came on for injured Salah headed the winner from a cross by Shaqiri.
