Ighalo Regrets AFCON Injury, Remains Silent On Retirement Rumours

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has expressed regret at ending his participation in the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) with an injury.

Ighalo scored in the third minute on Wednesday to secure a 1-0 victory for Nigeria over Tunisia in the third-place match at the AFCON.

The 30-year-old, however, did not speak on his reported retirement in his Instagram post on Friday.

“Sad to end the tournament with an injury but I’m super proud of this team and myself ������,” he wrote.

Jude Odion Ighalo ends the tournament as the top scorer with five goals to his name.
