Raul de Tomas has completed his move to Benfica after he has completed his move to Lisbon for over 20 million euros.
A five-year contract has been signed by the forward after Benfica managed to talk Real Madrid down from their initial asking price of 35 million euros.
De Tomas arrived in the Portuguese capital on Monday to undergo his medical examinations before finalising the move.
Previously under contract at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu until 2023, the 24-year-old leaves LaLiga Santander and Spain after spells with Cordoba, Real Valladolid and Rayo Vallecano, with each of whom he showed his ability but never enough to convince Madrid of his worth.
He spent the 2015/16 season at Cordoba in LaLiga 1|2|3 and scored six times before netting 14 the following campaign at Valladolid in the same division.
His development continued in 2017/18 as he helped Rayo to promotion, again in LaLiga 1|2|3, bagging 24 goals.
