Eden Hazard’s squad number for the new season has been confirmed by Real Madrid after the Spanish giants updated the squad list for the 2019/20 campaign on its official website.
The Belgian ace moved to the Santiago Bernabeu from Chelsea for £88 million in June, and had been wearing number 50 in pre-season games including the 1-0 win over RB Salzburg which saw him score the winner.
However, Hazard will now be wearing the number 7 shirt for the new season, which was previously worn by Brazilian forward Mariano Diaz during the last campaign.
According to the Real Madrid website, the former Olympique Lyon man will now be wearing the number 24 shirt from the 2019/20 campaign.
Real Madrid will face Serie A giants AS Roma in a final pre-season match this Sunday before kicking off their La Liga campaign away at Celta Vigo next Saturday.
