A full round-up of all of Liverpool's current injuries including potential return dates for Alisson, Naby Keita and Nathaniel Clyne

Alisson Becker waits to receive medical attention during the English Premier League football match between Liverpool and Norwich City at Anfield in Liverpool, north west England on August 9, 2019.

Alisson

Liverpool are likely to be without the Brazilian's services until after the September international break after he suffered a calf injury in the Reds' Premier League season-opener against Norwich City.

Responding by bringing in Andy Lonergan as additional cover, Jurgen Klopp is hopeful the goalkeeper will only be out for a few weeks while he offered his most recent update on Alisson before the Reds' meeting with Arsenal.

Klopp update:

“Close? Not that close. Nobody told me I had to consider him for training tomorrow!

“I had lunch with him today, so at least he can eat! He looks in good shape, good mood, but it will take time. I don’t know exactly. No date in my mind, we will give him the time he needs.

“At the beginning he was on crutches, which is normal for his injury, and they are not there now. He walks normal, he can train completely normal compared to a week ago and I think from now it will go quick. How quick, I don’t know.”

Expected return:

September/October 2019

Naby Keita

After limping out of Liverpool's open training session before the European Super Cup final against Chelsea, Keita remains sidelined with a hip injury.

The midfielder has since sat out the Reds' meetings with Southampton and Arsenal, and while he's not expected to be out for too long, Jurgen Klopp confirmed he was not yet ready to return ahead of his side's clash with the Gunners.

Klopp update:

“Long term does not mean six months, it means a couple of weeks. No real news, he’s close, but not close enough.”

Nathaniel Clyne

Clyne is facing at least six months on the sidelines after suffering a cruciate ligament injury in pre-season.

The England international sustained the problem shortly before he was due to be substituted during the 3-2 defeat to Borussia Dortmund in the Reds' opening match of their US tour in July 2019.

"Clearly an injury of this nature isn't a happy moment for any player, but the silver lining for him is that, according to the medical guys, it's a straightforward ACL injury."

Paul Glatzel

The striker suffered knee ligament damage when making his first appearance for the Liverpool first team against Tranmere Rovers in pre-season.

After undergoing surgery, Glatzel is expected to be out for the season.

Klopp update:

“Unfortunately Paul Glatzel got seriously injured, which is a shame. He is a wonderful kid, a wonderful player, unbelievable.

“The week we saw him (at Melwood) helped already, so when he is back he will be one of my boys because I really like what I saw.”

Expected return:
